Whole Family Rhythms Autumn Family Friendly Playlist

Just a few posts back I shared that we listen to a wide range of music in the car when traveling to and from school. Sometimes we may also play music at home quietly in the background. Turning it up and singing along if we feel like a dance. Many of you asked for more details about the songs we enjoy so I have compiled a seasonal playlist on Spotify for Autumn. I believe that these are gentle enough for the youngest of listeners while also entertaining and delighting even the adults in the car or at home.

Listening to music together as a family has become a cherished ritual in our household. The soothing melodies of Elizabeth Mitchell’s songs create a warm atmosphere. Wrapping us in a comforting embrace as we journey through the falling leaves and cool autumn breeze. Peter, Paul and Mary’s timeless classics transport us to a place of nostalgia, invoking memories of simpler times. Joni Mitchell’s poetic lyrics resonate with our souls, capturing the essence of the changing seasons.

Eva Cassidy’s soulful voice tugs at our heartstrings, evoking a sense of melancholy that beautifully complements the autumn ambiance. Paul Simon’s rhythmic tunes infuse our home with energy, making impromptu dance parties a common occurrence. And then there’s Nick Drake, whose haunting melodies cast a spell, encouraging introspection and quiet contemplation.

Days grow shorter and the nights longer. Our Autumn playlist serves as a musical backdrop to cozy family gatherings. These songs create the perfect soundtrack to our family moments. Whether we’re baking cookies together, sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace, or simply enjoying each other’s company,

I hope you feel the same way and happy Autumn listening, singing, and dancing. May this playlist bring as much joy and warmth to your family as it has brought to ours. Embrace the magic of Autumn, and let the music weave its enchantment around you and your loved ones. Happy listening! 🍂🎶
