Homemade Sweet and Salty Granola

Dry Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup chopped cashews
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 7 cups of rolled quick oats
  • 1 cup shredded coconut
  • generous dash of cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1/3cup organic butter
  • 1/3 cup raw honey
  • 1/4 cup sesame oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Final Ingredients

  • Currants, Raisins or other chopped, dried fruit

Let’s Begin

  1. Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl and set aside.
  2. Heat the butter, oil, and honey until melted and combined.
  3. Remove from heat and add vanilla, pour over dry ingredients, stir until it’s well coated.
  4. Spread on a lined baking sheet and bake in batches at about 190C for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  5. Let each batch cool and then add in dried fruit.
